“You Belong in a Zoo” is one of the rare gems found in the 2003 Peter Brazaitis* edtion of “You Belong in a Zoo.” This powerful, but gentle book was written during an artist colony in upstate New York and it captures the wonderful creative and interpersonal dynamics of this environment. This beautifully boxed, first edition HC/DJ is VG+ in nice condition with light bumping to the spine, usual creases and a few missing pages (near the spine) but Otherwise is lightly worn with no chips or cracks. Brazaitis was one of the most powerful and well-known hip-hop rhyme poets of the ’90s, and his crafting of insightful, introspective pop lyrics has influenced generations of poets and artists. This book was written during a time when hip-hop was figuring out its own identity and Brazaitis was a majoressential voice in the movement.
